This charming property is set over three levels and can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. On the ground floor, you will be welcomed into the dining room which offers ample space should you wish to relax with a book or play board games with friends and family. You’ll also find a well-equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances you need to whip up some delicious meals during your stay. On the lower ground floor is the spacious sitting room with Smart TV and ample comfortable seating. A piano is available for guests with a musical interest, as well as a single sofa bed which can also be used as a nice place to relax. The lower ground floor also has a shower room and is entrance to the rear garden with a small outdoor space to enjoy the views. The first floor has three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two with single beds and the other a double bed. The family bathroom is also located on this floor.
If you’re looking for walks and attractions, there are plenty surrounding the house. The nearby Peak District National Park is a great place to explore with its miles of walking and cycling trails. The famous Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District, is within easy reach. There are also many charming towns and villages to visit such as Buxton and Castleton, where you can admire historic buildings and enjoy local food and drink. The Sett Valley Trail, a former railway line, is perfect for cycling or walking and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There is stunning artwork from local artists in each room of the house - pick a picture each day and follow its route! New Mills Central train station is just a 5-minute walk from the cottage and provides easy access to the vibrant city of Manchester with its art galleries, theatres, concert halls and restaurants. For those who love history, the beautiful Chatsworth House and Gardens is a must-visit, located just a short drive away. And if you’re looking for some family fun, Alton Towers is also within easy reach. Lyme Park (National Trust) is a short drive away which is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic and a stroll. Within the town of New Mills you can easily walk to pubs or restaurants. There is also a selection of takeaway cuisines and a supermarket just a couple of minutes’ walk away.
