Hathersage 0.5 miles. Eboracum is a beautifully-refurbished house sitting atop the lovely village of Hathersage, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. With its incredible scenic views and easy access to many local amenities, this property sleeps five, making it perfect for families and groups of friends looking for a base to explore Derbyshire. Cross the tastefully landscaped front lawn and step into the house to find a sitting room equipped with a large sofa and woodburning stove for you to stretch out on, and a Smart TV for your family movie nights. If you’re feeling peckish, make your way to the kitchen/diner armed with everything you need to whip up feasts for your loved ones; if the weather allows, why not take the feast outside to the rear enclosed patio and lawn and make use of the barbecue to grill up some delicious burgers? When sleep calls, head to the family bathroom to unwind in a warm bath or hot shower before heading to bed in one of three well-presented bedrooms. Those lucky enough to get the en-suite room can enjoy views of the sun setting below the hills. Tear yourself away from your newfound haven to the local village of Hathersage where you’ll be spoilt for choice of shops and eateries. Head to Restaurant at The Scotsmans Pack for a classic, hearty pub meal, Hathersage Kitchen by Evangeline for some alfresco dining when the sun is shining or Cintra's Tearoom with its buttery pastries and fragrant teas. When you’re ready for some adventure, make your way to the Peak District National Park where you’ll be able to hike across the vast plains of central England and take in the crisp fresh air; walk through the limestone valley of Cave Dale to find the ruins of Peveril Castle, where you’ll be able to enjoy a light lunch in its picnic area. If you’re feeling brave enough, walk over to Peak Cavern, the UK's largest cave entrance, for underground tours of cave networks. Then drive to the stunning city of Sheffield to stroke the alpacas and feed the meerkats at Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park, visit the Winter Garden, a breathtaking glasshouse, home to over 2,000 plant specimens from around the world, and end the day with an educational trip to Weston Park Museum with its interactive exhibits and fight away the ducks while you picnic at Weston Park. Endless experiences at adventures await you at Eboracum.
