The Barn boasts 2 super king luxury en-suite bedrooms, and 3 x 3foot 6inch cabin beds, 1 in the master bedroom and 2 in the sitting room, suitable for adults and children alike. An extra Z bed can be provided sleeping 8 guests in total very comfortably. (Nb extra linen charge for day beds & Z bed) Breathtaking Views over Carsington Water, from every room in the barn, situated on the 8 mile circular path around the lake. Safe and secure with a private garden area. Perfectly located in the Peak District Golden triangle including the market towns, Ashbourne, Wirksworth, Bakewell and Matlock. Great pubs and eateries close by.
Lakeview Barn, Carsington Water is in the small hamlet of Hopton, offering Super comfortable accommodation, Ideal for families, groups of friends or small conferences. Over 100 attractions within a 20 mile radius for all age groups and different requirements. Many pubs locally, serving great food, 3 within walking distance. With many things to do, whether it be for a weekend break or a fortnights vacation, Hopton is superbly situated . There is a good pub 5 minutes walk away which serves local ales and good pub food. The pretty market town of Wirksworth is located less than 5 minutes drive away where you can find Le Mistral Bistro, various pubs and a selection of takeaways. The Town has lots on offer culturally, the beautiful gallery M.I for art lovers and The Northern Lights independent micro Cinema if you fancy catching up on a movie...? The Old Gate at Brassington offers delicious food and is a 25 minute walk across the moor with stunning views of the Lake en route. The red Lion at Hognaston is also a 25 minute walk, again serving great food. There are numerous other good pubs serving food within a 5 minute drive. The house is situated right on the circular route around Carsington water and cycle hire, kayaking, sailing, bird watching and fly fishing are all available from the visitors centre 2 miles away. The area is ideally suited for nature lovers and walkers and cyclists with a great selection of trails, including Tissington, High Peak and Dove Dale. Stately homes such as Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall, Tissington Hall and Haddon Hall are all a short drive away. If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, Alton Towers, Go Ape, Gullivers Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham are all within a 10 - 20 minute drive. If you are keen on walking, the Derbyshire Dales & Peak Park are again accessible within 10-30 minutes drive. Amazing walking/biking/ Rock climbing trails on the doorstep. Wilde Park offers paintballing, quad biking & shooting. Corporate or Team building groups can be catered for with Carsington Water Sports & Acclimbatize who offer raft building, paddle boarding, clay pidgeon shooting, mountaineering etc Please ask for further details....
