A short walk down through the Byes National Trust parkland to the picturesque town and seafront or walk from the door to join the coastal path via beautiful woodland. Stroll up the Byes for a pub lunch at the Blue Ball. Drive to the River Cottage HQ for a meal or cookery course, go by water taxi to the River Exe award winning cafe or simply rest, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Orchard Cottage. You will be spoilt for choice!

An attractive, comfortably furnished sitting room with large bay window overlooking a pretty cottage garden. Well equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs. Light airy bedroom with very comfortable double bed, top quality bedding and plenty of storage. Fully tiled bathroom with a shower over the bath, (from 15th May this property will have a walk in shower instead of a bath), washbasin, WC and a heated towel rail. Garden furniture and cushions to enjoy the lavender, roses and honeysuckle in the sun catching garden. Unrestricted roadside parking opposite property.

DIRECTIONS: From the A3052 Exeter to Lyme Regis road, at the crossroads with traffic lights in Sidford carry on in the direction of Seaton. Go past the Blue Ball Pub on your left and take the next turning right for Fortescue Sidmouth. Proceed along this road for approximately 1 mile, you will see the entrance to Sid Guard Road on your left, opposite this you will see "Orchard Cottage" name plaque on the fence on the corner.

PARKING/UNLOADING: There is a private drive beside the cottage where you can park to unload or load, but please don't leave your car here. You can park in Sidgard Road opposite where there is unrestricted parking.

WIFI: Network: ER-Hub-Mh3i  Password: ice-UNCAP-neat

THE KEY: Will be left in a Keysafe located on the inside of the porch. It is a small grey box.  To open:. rotate the number bar to code 0046, pull down the black button and at the same time pull open the flap to reveal the key. Please make sure the key is replaced on departure.

LINEN: Bed linen and towels are included. For holidays of two weeks or more fresh linen can be provided. Please let us know before the start of your holiday if this is required. We ask you to strip the beds you are using and leave the linen by the front door, the clean linen will be delivered for you on the change over day. 

CLEANING: On departure, please ensure the property is left clean and tidy as found. In the unlikely event that we are notified by the owner or caretaker that a property has not been left in a satisfactory condition, please be aware that an extra charge will be made as set out in our Terms and Conditions. Please accept our thanks for your co-operation in this matter

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR REFUSE/RECYCLING: East Devon Council  has now implemented a stringent recycling regime. There are instructions left for you inside the property on how to deal with your refuse.  If you have any queries please contact us during your stay. We need to know within 24 hours if your refuse has not been collected.  Unfortunately we will have to pass on any extra charges incurred by the council if their instructions are not adhered to.  We very much hope all the visitors will help with keeping Devon Green.

 BREAKAGES: Please report any breakages or repairs needed before the end of the holiday.

PROBLEMS: Hopefully there will be no problems during your stay, but if you find there is something wrong, please can you let us know during your stay, we are here to help and will not be able to solve problems once you return home.
