The Wild Fig Deli and Cafe is a cosy treat with excellent food and tasty coffee The Cornish bakery has a lovely range of pasties, pies and coffee to was it down with. The Bull Inn, a gastro pub at the top of the town, has a totally organic sourced menu and is a real delight to the palate even if it is a little pricier than the eateries above.

Totnes is absolutely great for river walks. Our favorite one along the river is realtively long and from the Steam Packet Inn Totnes to the Sharpham Wine Estate looking across reed beds along with views of the picturesque Dart valley. A few minutes away you can simply walk along from Steamer Quay and enjoy riverside views, with cafes and benches along the way. There you can buy tickets for River Dart boat tours, which take you all the way up to Dartmouth and the nearby Greenaway House of Agatha Christie fame. Also, worth a visit is the Dartington Estate and its glorious grounds. All cyclists will love the area for wonderful, country scenes and access to national cycling routes.
