Enjoy a culture-filled City break in this centrally located apartment. Situated right on Fore street, you are perfectly located to take advantage of everything Exeter has to offer. Only a 5-minute walk from the historic Quayside, where you can hire a bike and journey along the Exe Estuary trail, or take in some coffee culture at one of the cute cafes along the canal. Returning to your bright, airy and brand newly refurbished apartment to relax and rejuvenate. Perfect for a weekend break.
The space
Recently renovated Grade II listed property that has undergone a complete overhaul. This home has been decorated with a modern, yet sympathetic finish, complimenting the beautiful character features. You'll be on the 3rd floor, providing privacy and plenty of light. We have kept a neutral palette throughout, but added hints of color to provide a warm and welcoming space for our guests.
The apartment comprises a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table snuggled into the corner of the living space that seats 4, and a very comfortable sofa that doubles up as an additional bed. There is a beautiful decorative fireplace with original tiles taking pride of place at the front of the lounge area and this is surrounded by ceiling height shelving that really emphasises the lofty, spacious feeling in the home. The bathroom room has a brand new shower with a beautifully tiled cubicle and the bedroom has a double bed, with window seats and some hanging space for clothing.
This is a space where Charles Dickens once stayed, as commemorated via the blue plaque at the front of the building
Guest access
This home will be yours for the entirety of your stay. The communal area is being redecorated in Autumn, so there may be workmen accessing this space during your stay, but they will not have access to the flat.
Other things to note
Enjoy the collection of Charles Dickens books on the bookshelves. However please handle with care as they are very old and delicate!
The period windows throughout the property are gorgeous but 100s of years old, so require a delicate touch. They are due to be repaired and strengthened soon, so in the meantime please be careful when opening them.
Please note, the external of the property is currently undergoing renovation works and there is scaffolding up. However, this does not block light and we have Venetian blinds for privacy.
We provide hotel quality linen for all the beds and towels for each guest. You will be welcomed with a travel-sized toiletry set per guest to help you freshen up during your first couple of days. There is a hand soap and 1 loo roll in each bathroom. The home has basics such as tea, coffee and sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper. If anything else is required, guests should purchase or bring this with them.

This apartment is located in Exeter. 21 The Mint and Exeter's Historic Quayside are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Dartmoor National Park and East Devon. Skirmish Paintball Games Exeter and Topsham Pool are also worth visiting.
