The Walkers Retreat is a very cosy, clean and quiet holiday let with large garden to walk around in and great views to admire. There is free secured parking and the Walkers Retreat has it's own private entrance.
The Walkers Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, electric hob and oven. The living area has a comfortable reclining chair and sofa. Free view television with DVD player magazines and a varied range of books are available. The bedroom has a super king size bed and wardrobe. A toilet with small basin is next to the bedroom and the shower room is downstairs. There is a washing/dryer machine and iron facilities. We provide fresh bedlinen, towels, bathrobes, detergents and shower gels all free of charge.
On arrival we provide fresh milk and eggs from our local milk farm in Scoriton. There will also be coffee, tea and sugar, etc. We try our utmost to keep the Walkers Retreat facilities to a high standard. The living/kitchen area has been freshly painted in January 2017. You can make use of your own outdoor terrace and we have also several wooden benches spread out in the garden for you to use and enjoy the views. Located in Dartmoor National Park makes it's possible to start walks from the property onto the Moor or to the River Dart.
Built in 1329, the Church House Inn serves wonderful food, coffee and drinks and is located within a 5-minute walk from the property. Opposite is the very well stocked village community shop. In the village of Scoriton is the friendly Tradesmans Arms and is five minutes by car. The nearest town is Ashburton, 10 minutes drive away, and offers a excellent selection of tea shops, cafes, restaurants, and food shops.
We very much welcome dogs at the Walkers Retreat (max. 2 dogs). One dog will be free of charge and for two dogs we charge £10 per stay. If you require a cotbed, please let us know. The fee for the cot bed will be £20 per stay.

Located in Newton Abbot, this apartment is in a rural area. Coombestone Tor and Buckland Abbey are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary and Pixieland. Traveling with kids? Consider House of Marbles, or check out an event or a game at Newton Abbot Racecourse. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails, ecotours, and mountain biking nearby.
