Cheriton Fitzpaine is a traditional Devon village originally listed in the Doomsday book. Although the large property has beautiful views over the village its nearest neighbour is 1/4 mile away. There are two traditional English country pubs within 10 minutes walking distance of the house. There are actually 20 beds at Homecroft. We supply all bedding but we do not supply towels.
Guests have their own key for entering and leaving the house and have full use of all the facilities in the house and garden. There is parking for up to eight/nine cars. The swimming pool can be enclosed with gated access if necessary. There is an additional charge for out of season pool heating and we need at least two weeks notice. The damage deposit is £500 for parties up to 15 and £750 for parties up to 20.
Cheriton Fitzpaine is a traditional Devon farming village with an old church and two traditional English country pubs within walking distance of the house. Beautiful extensive gardens and views from the house. Facilities include large games room with snooker, darts and air hockey; outside covered party area / pizza oven; large outside winter/summer fire pit (See pictures) Large outdoor swimming pool. (Heated in Summer) Floodlit all weather table tennis. Large wood fired hot tub. Very large convivial kitchen with Aga, gas hob and pyrolytic self cleaning electric oven. Similarly large sitting room with log burner. There is a downstairs shower room and upstairs bathroom and shower room and an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom. Homecroft is only 15 miles (easy taxi journey) from the Exeter Chiefs rugby ground. Exeter Chiefs are now one of the most successful rugby teams in England and they offer a fantastic hospitality package on match days. They are also a venue for the IRB world Sevens tournament and many top flight European games. We supply all bedding but we do not supply towels.
Cheriton Fitzpaine is approximately 10 miles due north of Exeter in Mid Devon. It is a very rural location with no public transport. However, taxis are easy to organize. There are many beautiful country walks both on the narrow Devon lanes and on official cross country paths.
Located in Crediton, this vacation home is in a rural area and near theme parks. Devon Railway Centre and Skirmish Paintball Games Exeter are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Harlequins Shopping Centre and Gandy Street. Traveling with kids? Consider Monsters Mansion and Adrenalin Games Paintball. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
