Private parking for 1 car, 2 minutes walk. No smoking. . Blackmore Cottages are situated down a quiet lane adjacent to Blackmore Gardens, in the heart of the charming seaside resort of Sidmouth. With a central location it is easy to discover the many things to do in this Regency town.
Cottage 2 is set on one level, just 3 steps up from the lane to the front door, and it is particularly spacious with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and has a maximum occupancy for 4 guests. Upon entering, you are greeted with a well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need during your stay, including a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The kitchen then leads into the open plan living and dining area where after a fun-filled day exploring the coastline, you can gather around the large dining table for a celebratory homecooked meal and relax on the comfy sofas while watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV with Freeview.
On the same level are two bedrooms, each with a super kingsize zip and link bed (which can be twins on request), pocket sprung mattresses and Egyptian cotton bedding. One is more spacious than the other with a view over the high street, and the other is at the back of the property with doors opening out onto the patio area. There are two bathrooms which each have a toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail, the first with a shower cubicle and the second with a shower over the bath.
Outside, guests can relax in the enclosed patio area which is a real suntrap with plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for al-fresco dining or enjoying your morning coffee. The accommodation is within a level walk of lovely boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and the picturesque and tranquil beach with its long and level esplanade. The popular seaside town offers beautiful gardens, an array of cafés, restaurants, pubs, shops and access to the South West Coast Path.
Sidmouth is a perfect getaway to explore the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, where you can sit on perfect beaches at the foot of pre-historic red cliffs, created some 240 million years ago. Long beaches are within a short walk, or if you fancy a change of scene the popular beaches of Beer, Branscombe, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Lyme Regis with its fossil hunting are within a short drive. Local attractions include Crealy Great Adventure Park, Bicton Gardens, The Caves at Beer, The Donkey Sanctuary, Dartmoor National Park and many more. Towards the western end, the beach rises to a sandstone promontory where you can find Jacobs Ladder and Connaught Gardens, separating the Esplanade from the Western Beach.
