Set on the site of a former working quarry, these detached lodges offer peace and tranquillity, and a great base from which to explore. In the evenings, stroll up to the village pub for a drink and a bite to eat. A wealth of popular beaches and attractions are nearby including Bude (11 miles), Widemouth Bay (14 miles) and Sandymouth (9 miles). The coastal village of Clovelly (10 miles) and Tintagel (30 miles) are also within easy reach. The Tamar Lakes Nature Reserve (4.5 miles) offers trout and coarse fishing and water sports too hire windsurfing boards, sailing dinghies, rowing boats, kayaks, and wet suits. Alternatively walk the trails or just sit and watch the huge variety of wildlife, including kingfishers and otters. Stepping up into this lodge, you enter the open plan living space. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas offer a lovely social space, whether you re cooking, dining or relaxing. Well furnished and equipped it has everything you need. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob as well as a fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The dining area allows everyone space to sit and eat together and the lounge area has a wood burner, TV and stereo. From here, enjoy the view overlooking the veranda and the pond. There are two bedrooms: one twin and one double room. Both rooms are comfortable and homely, and coupled with the peace of the location, you are guaranteed a good night s rest. A folding bed is also available for an extra person on request. The bathroom completes the accommodation and has a shower over the bath and WC. Heading outside, there is an enclosed, gated decked balcony with steps leading down to the lake, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the views over the pond. There is ample parking provided.
