Settled in the small village of Galmpton in South Devon, just a stone's throw from the coast, is this charming traditionally thatched cottage, The Old Cider Barn, offering beautiful holiday accommodation. Boasting a picture-perfect exterior with the wooden shutters, thatched roof and exposed stone walls, the interior is equally as stunning for its rather modern and minimal style, with the property's location being perfect for scenic country and coastal walks and visiting Devon's most southern town of Salcombe. Step into the kitchen and discover a neatly designed space complete with all the appliances you need, including a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Continue into the open-plan living and dining room to find the lovely dining area positioned before the French doors which open out onto a Juliet balcony, dine with the doors open on a summer day and feel as though you're in the south of Italy. Sink into the huge corner sofa or one of the stylish armchairs and enjoy a film on the Smart TV with your loved ones, surrounded by beautiful wooden paneling on the walls and exposed stonework. Completing the ground floor is the fabulous wet room with a walk-in shower here, with a second shower room on the first floor too. The industrial-style metal banister and staircase add a creative charm to this property along with a large feature mirror, follow your way up to the spacious landing and find the two bedrooms. The master bedroom is a stunning space with an impressive super-king-size floating bed, as well as a beautiful freestanding copper bath, both equally as indulgent and a real holiday treat, along with stylish storage space for your things and a lofty high ceiling, you can relax in here on the bed or sofa and watch the Smart TV. The second bedroom has a double bed and stairs leading up to a mezzanine level where two single beds rest, ideal for a family. Enjoy making use of the charming little courtyard outside, sitting with a morning coffee amidst the beautiful village. Just under a mile away is the wonderful beach of Mouthwell Sands at Hope Cove, with a great mix of sands and rocky areas making it a perfect spot for sandcastles, sunbathing and exploring the rockpools. From here you can hop onto the South West Coast Path and head north to come to the shores of Milton Sands, a National Trust owned beach, continuing up to Bantham. Travel south to enjoy some expansive seascapes along the coast, past Bolberry Down and up and round to Salcombe, Devon’s most southern town. Sitting on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary, Salcombe is one of the prettiest towns in Devon and is a centre for sailing and a general watersports haven; whether it be kayaking, surfing or paddle boarding, there's an exciting activity for everyone. Choose to spend time on either North Sands or South Sands beach, perfect for families, and browse the local offerings in the boutique shops and independent businesses for a souvenir to take home with you, and you must head to one of the local restaurants serving freshly caught seafood for a true Salcombe experience. The Old Cider Barn is a beautifully unique property in lovely South Devon.
