Perfect for all the family or a special retreat for two, Walnut Cottage is the ideal place to relax when visiting North Devon. Tastefully decorated throughout, the two-bedroom cottage welcomes the whole family (including dogs!).

The lounge of Walnut Cottage is extremely light and airy due to the large windows that adorn either side. The two three-seater sofas are great to relax and unwind, while children can enjoy all the board games stored in the chest and bookcase. There’s a TV with a DVD player too! To one side of the room is the dining room table and chairs, which can comfortably seat six, but still feels perfect with smaller groups.

A smart and stylish king-size bed with a black and gold frame sits against the wall in the centre of the master bedroom. The room is decorated with subtle touches of blue and white, from the cushions on the wicker chair to the long interlined curtains that drape either side of the wide window. There is also plenty of space for clothes in a pretty rose-handled wardrobe.

The rear facing triple bedroom contains more neutral colours and floral themes, but the sunlight flooding through the window bounces throughout and fills the room with light. Again, there is plenty of space for clothes and accessories in the wood dressing table and bedside cabinets.  The family bathroom is located between the two bedrooms, and features a deep bath, loo and sink.

Sliding the patio doors across in the living room reveals your own private terrace, which is perfect for dogs or children as it is completely enclosed.  An iron table with six chairs sits in the centre of the terrace, and is ideal for alfresco dinners. There is also a lawn area in front of the terrace where children can play.

A short walk from the front door is the games room, which can be used by all the guests at Parkgate. This quaint hidey-hole will please both the young and young at heart with table tennis, table football and darts all available. The younger members of the family can also use the children's play area on the grass; the timber play centre includes a slide and two swings.
