The nearby towns of Dulverton and Tiverton also provide plenty of amenities. The lovely North Devon coastline, which is farther away, offers wonderful walks, little coves, sandy beaches, and views of Wales. An excellent starting point for touring North Devon and the Exmoor National Park is Bampton.
