Gybbes Lodge is a beautiful and spacious medieval barn which forms one side of the courtyard of a very old Devon manor house. It is furnished with antiques in a comfortable and homely style. It is family friendly and there is plenty of space outside for kids to run around and explore.

The property is two miles from the village of Dartington and is also near the historic town of Totnes where there are great shops and restaurants serving everything from Devon cream teas to locally sourced fresh produce. Within easy driving distance there are numerous gorgeous beaches and Dartmoor is only ten minutes away. You can take a boat trip down the river Dart to the pretty town of Dartmouth, you can go sea fishing from Salcombe, walk the South West coastal path or take a steam train along the river Dart.

The area is famous for its delicious food and there are numerous old pubs to discover or seafood restaurants serving local delights of all sorts. There are great farm food shops and cafes with produce direct from local suppliers. There are activities to suit all ages and tastes. The area boasts many historic homes and castles to explore, small coastal villages to potter around, walking to suit all abilities, cycling trails and sailing trips of all kinds. In the summer Dartington also holds literary and music festivals but all year round there are numerous cultural activities going on as the area has a rich history in the arts. Dartington Hall Gardens, which are open to the public, are beautiful all year round.

Located in Totnes, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the sea. Sharpham Wine & Cheese and Pirates Bay Adventure Golf are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary and Paignton Zoo.
