About the property

Nestled in a peaceful valley on the edge of Exmoor's North Devon coast and one of six holiday homes on the site, Honey Buzzard Farmhouse provides a tranquil and relaxing escape. With plenty of space including a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove, three bedrooms and a private terrace that is perfect for alfresco dining, it is ideal for a family get-together. Should you wish to explore the area, the estate offers many family-friendly facilities, or you can explore a selection of stunning beaches, including Barricane Beach and Woolacombe.

The space

The house is adorned with several period-style features including wooden beams, exposed stone walls and a listed staircase that is believed to date back to the 16th century.



Step inside the large farmhouse kitchen where you will find everything you should need to self-cater with ease including a Range cooker, a coffee machine, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge and freezer. Whether planning your next adventure or having a bite to eat, the huge marble-topped island creates a sociable space for all six guests.



Meanwhile, a secret door provides access to Kittiwake House and can be unlocked if you wish to book the properties together.



The L-shaped living/dining room is a particularly cosy space thanks to the crackling wood-burning stove and two sumptuous sofas. Relax here after a day in the countryside with your favourite programme on the Smart TV or a good book in hand. Venture around the corner to the dining room which provides a more formal setting for family meals or celebrations.



There are three delightfully decorated bedrooms, each with their own character and charm. On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with a super-king bed (which can be formed into twin beds if required) and an en-suite shower room. On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms, one of which features a four poster super-king-sized bed and an en-suite shower room and one with twin beds.



The first floor is complete with a family bathroom.



Outside, you will have access to a private terrace with far-reaching countryside views. Enjoy a delicious BBQ, followed by a sunset dip in the luxurious hot tub.

You will have access to a host of on-site leisure facilities that are shared by guests of all cottages:



The grounds



There are 16 acres of stunning grounds to explore and dog walking fields. Amble through the meadows and stop off at the kitchen garden and greenhouse to choose a little something to go with your delicious alfresco lunch.



The grounds also provide a combined 5-aside football pitch, a badminton and grass tennis court, croquet, boules, cricket and a putt golf course.



Swimming pool and games room



Take a dip in the indoor heated swimming pool or head to the games room where you will find an abundance of toys and games, plus a soft play area for little ones aged 5 years old and under. For outdoor fun, there is an adventure playground with swings, slides and a climbing frame.



On-site activities



Discover The Lookout for some relaxation, practice yoga on the mats provided and enjoy the estate's stunning viewpoint. Or you can enjoy a fun aqua aerobics session in the heated swimming pool.



Farm animals



There are over 50 animals on-site to visit including chickens, alpacas, goats, sheep and piglets.

Guest access

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.



Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay.



Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

Located in Ilfracombe, this apartment is in a rural area and near the beach. Arlington Court and Arlington Court are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at South West Coast Path Section 4 Trailhead and South West Coast Path Section 3 Trailhead. Traveling with kids? Consider Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Watermouth Castle. Be sure not to miss outdoor adventures like hiking/biking trails and cycling.
