The outdoor decking area has numerous breakout seating areas to enjoy a cocktail while the sun sets or a family BBQ lunch in the coastal breeze.  Nothing quite beats slipping into a hot tub after a day in the bracing Devonshire sea, and Ilfracombe View does not disappoint with this perfectly placed luxurious hot tub, a dream spot to sip a glass of bubbles whilst gazing over the shimmering sea.  On the ground floor below the property benefits from a private enclosed garden, with lawn for little ones to run about in safety.

With Ilfracombe High Street just a short walk down the hill, this holiday home is perfectly placed for guests to access the soft, sandy beaches, bustling high-street and brightly coloured boats on the harbour.  The seaside awaits you and your guests, don’t forget the surf boards!

North Devon is a tourist hot spot for good reason with stunning beaches and a bustling coastal scene, just a short walk from your holiday home and you will be right in the centre of the action.  Pay a visit to the famous Tunnel beaches and enjoy a relaxing swim in the tidal pools.  Or try out a spot of surfing at some of the finest spots to enjoy the Atlantic swell.  Woollacombe beach is a short drive away, as is the vast sand dunes at Saunton Sands, both well worth a visit.

Soak up some local history by taking the short walk to Lantern Hill where you can visit St Nicholas Chapel, the oldest working lighthouse in the country, dating back to the Middle Ages.  Stop off for a Devonshire cream tree at Hele Cornmill, a 16th century working water mill just outside of the town.  Whilst those who are braver enough might dare to take a trip to Chambercombe Manor, set in a secluded valley, this Elizabethan manor has beautiful gardens, a Priest Hole and the infamous Haunted room, heralded as one of the most haunted places in Britain.

Ilfracombe has a number of excellent craft shop and gift places, we recommend stopping by at the Ilfracombe Chocolate Emporium to sample some hand-crafted delicacies and visit the little museum dedicated to all thing’s chocolate, where you can often spot the Chocolatier at work.

A food lovers paradise, Ilfracombe has a fine selection of local treats from fresh seafood to Exmoor meats and unique local cheeses.  Head to the harbour to enjoy an evening meal at the relaxed and informal Take Thyme Fish restaurant, a must visit if you want to sample delicious locally caught lobsters.  Meanwhile the Terrace Tapas Bar is a wonderful evening spot to sample delicious small plates and select a cocktail or two from the extensive menu!
