A stunning cottage in the heart of the popular fishing village of Appledore, set over three floors with fabulous sea views. Sitting on a traditional cobbled street offers fabulous estuary and sea views from the first and second floor rooms and a stone throw away from the bustling quayside with many shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes.
The space
The accommodation is arranged over three storeys. As you enter the property into the entrance hall the lounge is to your right, with wood burner, comfy seating, Smart TV and views over the gardens to the river. Back through the hallway is the kitchen/diner which opens up with a family-sized dining table with ample seating and French doors leading out to the rear courtyard, the galley style kitchen is well fitted and offers a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Another door leads out from the kitchen to the rear courtyard garden. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom two double rooms both with great river views. The bathroom is stylish and has a bath with shower over and WC. Stairs lead up to the second floor with a further two bedrooms one king-size with two Velux windows affording superb views across the village to the estuary and the village of Instow on the other side. A triple bedroom with a double bed and single on top bunk bed. The shower room with shower and WC sits between these rooms.
Stepping outside there is a pretty courtyard area with garden furniture leading up a few steps to a lawn area with further seating, BBQ and a summer house, ideal for relaxing.
PLEASE NOTE car parking before booking! Alpha Place is one of the last narrow cobbled streets left in Appledore. To protect this beautiful piece of heritage and ensure peace for local residents in this central nook, there is no parking available directly on Alpha place - we recommend that guests park on the parallel street, Meeting street.
Guest access
Parking on Alpha Place is not permitted, to ensure the cobbled street is protected. Parking can be found on surrounding streets or if you'd prefer you can park in the village car park on the quay with a week-long ticket.
Other things to note
The full garden decking area is the perfect place to relax and cook on the BBQ and a large fire pit for summer nights, as well seating for guests.
Lobsters and crab can be sourced directly from local fishermen, fishing dependent, we should be able to help (Lobster picks & crackers are provided).
A wood burner in the living room will keep you warm when the nights draw in.

Located in Bideford, this vacation home is near theme parks and on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Northam Burrows Country Park and North Devon Coast, while The Burton Art Gallery and Museum and The Plough Arts Centre are cultural highlights. The Big Sheep and Clovelly Village are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
