A rare chance to stay in our spacious & bright home in Bournemouth's best area: Southbourne. We are 15 minutes walk to the beach and 8 minutes from the famous Southbourne Grove with all of it's great restaurants, bars and amenities.

If you are a fan of the indoor/outdoor lifestyle our home is designed around that with a broad terrace with pergola right outside the main living/dining space - all set for outdoor meals and barbeques in our well loved garden.

Comfortably sleeps 8-10 & parks 2+.

Our home is all setup for you to have an unforgettable stay. We often have two families (plus dogs) come and stay with us so we've ironed out all the kinks and setup the house to be comfortable and functional for up to ten people. We hope you have a blast staying at our place.

Strong Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and even extends onto the deck.

A spacious lounge/diner is the main living space, which is open onto the kitchen so you can stay a part of the conversation as you cook up a feast. Large Sony smart TV and PS4 as well as good speakers provide good entertainment options if you're staying in, with a large comfy sofa, armchair and beanbag for seating.

Cooking in the fully outfitted kitchen is a joy with plenty of surfaces, all mod cons and a six ring range with dual ovens. There is also a large fridge and freezer, blender and a wine fridge so it should have whatever you need to cook up a storm. We've left the pantry fully stocked of herbs, spices, condiments and staples (rice, pasta, tinned tooms, etc) so guests don't have to buy everything to cook good meals. We simply ask that if you use anything you replace it for future guests.

The indoor dining table seats 8 comfortably, though we often eat, socialise and play games at the outdoor dining table in the Summer - just through the double patio doors from the lounge - which also accommodates 8 comfortably in addition to the outdoor sofas. Barbeque, log burner and fire pit provided as well - pls don't use them under the pergola.

Relax in our long, spacious, garden shaded by gorgeous trees that is not overlooked by neighbours. Our dog loves it out here! Beyond the lawn you'll find a herb garden, wildlife pond with seating and several veg beds as well as the greenhouse. It is very peaceful and the trees attract a great variety of birds. Please do help yourself to fresh produce from the garden & greenhouse - a wide selection fruits, culinary herbs as well as many great veg incl. tomatoes, peppers, onions, chilli, aubergine & cucumbers.

At the front of the house is a separate more intimate living room styled as a Speakeasy complete with bar and piano, which is great for a smaller group to socialise or shut the door and getaway from it all. It's our "No TV living room" so intended as a great place for socialising, music, radio and reading. The sofa here is a comfy double sofa-bed which we ask be for adults as there is a fair bit of glassware in a Speakeasy!

Off the kitchen is a laundry/utility with separate large volume washer & dryer, microwave as well as a loo and sink.

On the middle floor we have:
Two spacious double rooms, both with ceiling fans so they're always comfortable even in a heatwave. Both have very good mattresses and high quality bedding.
The Green bedroom comes with views of the garden, it's own TV, an armchair, dressing room and an ensuite including a great rain shower. It also has it's own kettle and tea/coffee facilities. It also has a comfortable workstation, so it's also a good choice if you need to shut the door login and do some work in peace.
The spacious Terracotta bedroom at the front of the house is light and airy with it's big bay window, modern four poster bed and gorgeous walnut wardrobe.

Also on the middle floor is our stylish tropical bathroom with fish on the ceiling. Kids love bathtime in here! Clean and bright with a full bath & rain shower and a hot rack for your towels and wet beach gear. When we have a house full we share the ensuite shower to speed up throughput.

And finally the loft has been converted into one large C-shaped room with two double beds and a child bed should you need it. Great for either four kids or a family and designed so that you can't see one bed from the other. Great light, like the rest of our home, thanks to Velux windows on every side which also keep the room cool in the summer and offer views of the New Forest to boot. The loft room has a larger desk and is a great place to work. We have a large plug-in fan up here and two spares that you can position wherever for those hot still coastal nights.

Entertainment detail:
Sony TVs downstairs in the living room and in the ensuite bedroom. Both are smart TVs and have apps loaded - Netflix, Prime, etc. Guests are welcome to use guest profiles where available or use their own credentials.
Downstairs TV has soundbar with subwoofer - great for film night and streaming music through TV or via bluetooth.
Optional: PS4 provided for you to login to if you like.
Wi-Fi is strong in every room and even good on the deck sofas thanks to good extenders.

Loft room - 1 x king-size, 1 x double (comfy pull out) and 1 x child's bed (under 50kgs)
Green bedroom - 1 x king size
Terracotta bedroom - 1 x king-size four poster
Downstairs front room (Speakeasy) - 1 x double sofa bed (adults only)

Well behaved dogs are very welcome, and it's a great home and area for them. Please don't allow them upstairs.

Driveway parks 2 cars comfortably and free roadside parking is widely available all year at the front.

Very safe and quiet neighbourhood.

Ideally located right in Southbourne, Bournemouth's best district, this property is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the beach, and just an 8 minute walk to Southbourne Grove with all of its pubs, boutique shops, coffee shops and all amenities. Safe & much quieter than places on the busy beachside road this is a perfect location for exploring Bournemouth, the Jurassic Coast, the New Forest & Isle of Wight, all of which are in easy access.

Some local hotspots include:
Southbourne Beach leading to Hengistbury Head for a beautiful walk and view, Mudeford, Christchurch & Poole as well as central Bournemouth. Further afield Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door & Corfe Castle on the way to Weymouth pas the famous Studland beaches. Heading the other way there are hundreds of New Forest walks and great pubs and Lymington has frequent ferries over to Yarmouth to explore the Isle of Wight.

Locally the Way Outback and Brewhouse pubs on Southbourne Grove both brew great beer. We have many good independent restaurants & coffee shops for all budgets and If you like a cocktail, there is a secret cocktail bar above the excellent Larderhouse restaurant on Southbourne Grove. Many places have live music on and Chaplin's in Boscombe has music every night.

For a quieter walk in summer, try the river Stour (you can also hire boats), Avon beach, St. Catherine's Hill (it's got great views from the top! ), or Kings Park / Queens Park.

Urban Reef and Sobo Beach both nearby are the best eating/drinking places anywhere along on Bournemouth beach. Best local children playgrounds are on the cliff top near fisherman's walk zig zag, and at Kings Park

Situated in a central location for easy access to popular Southbourne Grove with associated shops, bars, bistros and cafes. This property is within walking distance of the local award-winning beaches, Pokesdown train station with direct links to London, the New Forest & Isle of Wight (combined train/ferry ticket) is in walking distance, or Bournemouth station is a 10 minute drive. Parking for two cars is available on our driveway, with more free on street parking available if required.
There are several bus routes within a 5 minute walk of the front door that will take you throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole and taxi companies operate locally too. City bikes and escooters can be hired a short walk away through the Beryl Bikes scheme (download the app).

The area's natural beauty can be seen at New Forest National Park and Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while O2 Academy Bournemouth and Regent Centre are cultural highlights. Littledown Sports Center and Boscombe Chine Gardens Mini Golf Course are also worth visiting.
