THE LOCAL AREA:
It is a short walk from the apartment to the 'Zig -Zag' path down to Southbourne's sandy beaches.

SOBO Beach Bar can be found just down the Zig-Zag path and there are shops, cafes and restaurants less than ½ mile away at Southbourne Crossroads. These include the well-known restaurant Roots, Ricky’s Takeaway (Fish, Chips and Street Food), Cork and Lobster and the Co-Op.

Southbourne high street is about a mile away where there a variety of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. M&S Food and Waitrose can be found in local Christchurch.

Mudeford Harbour and beach is a 3 mile walk along the beach - turn left at the bottom of the Zig-Zag and keep going round the headland till you reach the sandspit and the iconic beach huts. Alternatively walk over the headland for a slightly quicker and easier route or take a short drive, or cycle, to the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre and take the land train.

A long, but pleasant, walk along the beach path leads you to Boscombe or Bournemouth piers for all amenities and a variety of family entertainment and tourist attractions. Walking on past Bournemouth will take you to Sandbanks. Cyclists are also permitted on the beach path.

A short car drive offers the historic town of Christchurch or the vast New Forest. Alternatively a short drive will take you to Bournemouth town centre for more of the hustle and bustle this tourist town has to offer. The Pier approach with it's leisure facilities and entertainment is a must to visit whilst staying in this seaside holiday town.
