Region: Explore the fossils and stunning beaches of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, visit historic Sherborne and Shaftesbury, or enjoy the footpaths, country lanes and thatched-roof pubs Dorset offers.

Town: The ruined fortress of Corfe Castle, owned by the National Trust, towers over the nearby settlement and civil parish of the same name in Dorset, England. The community has wonderful scenery and easy access to the excitement of the surrounding coast and countryside, since it is located on the route between Wareham and Swanage and overlooks the Purbeck Hills. The Jurassic Coast can be found here, and the area's proximity to the Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve and the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers. The Model Village and Gardens, the Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum, the Dorset Adventure Park, the Boilerhouse Gallery, and, of course, the 1,000-year-old Corfe Castle are some of the best attractions in the village, but it also has a Post Office, a variety of shops, and a few pubs and restaurants. If you're looking for a family-friendly activity, the Purbeck Big Apple Maize Maze isn't far away, and a visit to the coastal town of Swanage will reward you with a Blue Flag and Seaside Award winning beach and plenty of opportunities for coasteering, abseiling, climbing, paddle-boarding, and kayaking. You can even go scuba diving in the bay, if you're up for a new experience. Swanage is home to the Swanage Railway, Durlston Castle and Country Park, the Swanage Museum, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants, but a short drive will take you to Bournemouth and Weymouth, where you'll discover even more exciting activities for visitors of all kinds.

Located in Wareham, this lodge is in a rural area. Poole Harbour and Swanage Pier are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit The Blue Pool and Tea House and Sandbanks Beach. Bournemouth Pier and Oceanarium are also worth visiting. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as cycling and hiking in the area.
