Safe Harbour is a beautifully restored three storey house which stands proudly in a prime position beside the Old Harbour in Weymouth. There is a large kitchen on the ground floor with a dining area with additional cosy seating which overlooks the harbour. The first floor has a lounge has harbour views and one en-suite bedroom. Located on the second floor are two bedrooms and the family bathroom. There is a small step leading into the property and two steps lead from the kitchen to the courtyard. There are an additional two steps from the courtyard to a separate annexe with laundry room and shower room. Car parking on the harbourside is limited to one hour but on arrival and departure, vehicles can park directly outside the house to unload and load luggage. As well as being excellent for spotting visiting yachts from all over the world, the harbour still has a flotilla of fishing boats going about their daily work, with so much activity there is always something of interest going on at the harbour. Brewers Quay and Hope Square are just around the corner and offering numerous restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Newton's Cove, favoured by locals, is ideal for rock pooling or walking a dog, and only a two-minute walk away. From there, coastal walks around Nothe Gardens take you to the old fort and back to the harbour. At the Stone Pier there is a beautiful view of the beach and Esplanade where you can stop and have refreshments at the cafe. Weymouth’s award-winning sandy beach is ideal for building sand castles and bathing, with traditional seaside entertainment such as Punch and Judy, donkey rides and trampolines. The surrounding waters are perfect for water sports including sailing, wind surfing, scuba diving as well as fishing from land and sea.
