Enjoy the spacious, elegant and comfortable accommodation in this former shooting lodge. Relax on the sheltered, sunny terrace and feast your eyes on the views across the Solway Firth to the Cumbrian mountains. You are a stone's throw from the steep wooded slope leading down to the private rocky shoreline, where you will find driftwood to collect and rock pools and caves to discover. The large flat rocks are ideal for barbecues, picnics and sunbathing.

Orroland Lodge is surrounded by its own grounds, approached by nearly a mile of private road, winding down the hill through the estate, which is devoted to the rearing of grass fed cattle and sheep. A walk round the estate will reveal spectacular views in all directions, while the grounds contain interesting features including a snail mound and small stocked loch with a pavilion, ideal for picnics and barbecues.

This large century-old lodge is a comfortable, practical choice for parties of up to 14 people:

7 bedrooms: 5 twins and 2 doubles with en-suites. One can be adapted into a sixth twin room.

Total of 3 bathrooms and 3 shower rooms.

Dining room seats 30 with ample elbow room!

A spacious well-equipped kitchen awaits you with both an AGA cooker and an electric one, 2 dishwashers, microwave and a breakfast table. All the cooking and serving equipment needed for a party of 30 guests is provided. There is a separate bar with drinks fridge and a practical pantry for food storage with American-style fridge/freezer.

The large drawing room has an atmospheric open fire and the space for 14 to comfortably enjoy it.

A pool table provides good indoor sport.

The estate features the very best of its surroundings and includes a private loch with picnic pavilion, a private rocky shoreline with summerhouse for parties, unique landscaped gardens, grand wooded walks and unspoilt grassy fields.
