Lying in the very heart of the Glen App and Galloway Moors SPA, noted for its wealth of birds and other wildlife, the 7000 acre Lagafater Estate offers the perfect opportunity for you to escape, relax and explore.

The Lodge is an Edwardian shooting lodge that maintains its authentic, traditional atmosphere but has been carefully updated with new modern facilities. Lagafater is the perfect place to unwind, switch off from the outside world and reconnect with the woods, birds, moorland and rivers.

Three double, two twins, one double/twin and four single bedrooms will be ready for your arrival with fresh linen and towels. We have three full bathrooms and two separate showers. Along with a spacious drawing room with a Steinway grand piano, board/card games and jigsaw puzzles you are also provided with a traditional dining room that is serviced by a kitchen/diner with a three oven Esse range, microwave, separate hob, large fridge, two chest freezers and a food processor. The house has central heating and a woodburning stove.

Snooker and table tennis complete the inside activities, while outside, the heather moors, rough woodland and the nearby river (for playing, fishing and swimming) complete the perfect holiday.

The area's natural beauty can be seen at Castle Kennedy Gardens and Gkenwhan Gardens, while McKechnie Institute and Stranraer Museum are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids?
