A very warm welcome to Clouded Yellow our modern lodge near Kippford, located in Kippford Holiday Park. Boasting 2 bedrooms, plenty of space for socialising plus flexible accommodation, the lodge makes the perfect holiday home for a group or special family gathering. Everything about this property has been carefully thought through to give a relaxed and luxurious feel, making it an ideal home away from home.
Should you need more space for a larger gathering we have another lodge (Holly Blue) on the same park which sleeps 6 and is a three to four minute walk away.
As a self-catering lodge you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a freezer, a toaster and a microwave. The kitchen is very well stocked to include washing up liquid, clingfilm, greaseproof paper, dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods, tinfoil and cooking oil.
There is a separate utility room with washer/dryer, sink and space for coats/shoes/boots.
The lodge is a perfect place to relax and offers a smart tv with soundbar and free wi-fi. In addition there is a ceiling mounted wi-fi sound system.
The lodge has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 5. In the first bedroom, you will find a king size bed. There is a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room.
The second bedroom is a comfortable twin.
All beds have Simba mattresses.
There is a sofa bed in the lounge suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.
There are 2 bathrooms.
The en-suite has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.
The second bathroom has a toilet and sink and a shower over the bath.
Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. A welcome pack is provided containing tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and jam.
Outside there is a large decking area with seating and table and a gas BBQ.
We can provide the following at a small additional cost:
Baby Pack (£20) high chair, travel cot, bedding and nappy bin.
Dog Pack (free) dog towels, dog blanket, bowls and biscuits.
Celebration Pack (£25) for birthdays, anniversaries etc.. please ask for details.
House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 10am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are 2/3 parking spaces outside the lodge.
- Pets are allowed at the property - maximum of 2 small dogs. Dogs are charged at £20 per dog.
The local area provides many opportunities for outdoor activities - walking, running, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing, birdwatching and so on. The best thing about the location is that many of these activities can be enjoyed from the lodge without getting in a car. There is an excellent beach at Sandyhills (approx 4 miles away) and some beautiful walks on the coast and in the local forests. There are 2 pubs in Kippford with additional facilities in Dalbeattie (3 miles). The pretty village of Rockcliffe is a short walk away.
More widely the area offers much in the way of history, interesting towns and varied landscapes. Branded as Scotland’s Secret Coast it is full of surprises!
This vacation home is located in Dalbeattie. 7stanes - Dalbeattie and Colvend Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Kippford Beach and Rockcliffe Beach.
