From Kippford a particularly spectacular walk of just over a mile is along the National Trust path to Rockcliffe another lovely little coastal village with a sandy beach.

Whether you want an action-packed break enjoying mountain biking in forests or down quite country lanes, golfing, and of course water sports right on your doorstep, or you simply just want time to sit back and relax, Brooksyde is the perfect location.
Nearby towns include Castle Douglas, the “Food Town” with is lovely little niche shops and delightful cafes, Dalbeattie is only a few minutes’ drive, or Kirkcudbright with is harbour and various Art Galleries.
