This magical house is at the heart of Dunskey's 2000-acre private Estate, and is surrounded year-round by carpets of bluebells, snowdrops and daffodils. In the summer, a parade of ombre colour rhododendrons provide the most enchanting backdrops. Throughout the autumn and winter, large hydrangeas bushes surrounding the house bring spectacular colours. Originally the dwelling earmarked for the post of the Estate gardener, this spacious house has been meticulously restored to modern standards.

It's joyous to spend time in Fern Forest House. The living room enjoys streaming sunlight from the bay window, and features an enchanting forest mural with foxes and wild birds. The large open-fire will keep you happily reading for hours on end. Luxury Italian leather three-seater sofa, plus another a velvet mustard tufted sofa makes sure every one has a comfortable seat. The starburst chandelier ensures your evening will be glow through the night.

On the ground floor, the kitchen also enjoys views of the maze and the historic stables courtyard. Thoroughly modern with the latest appliances so you can cook up a storm. A mahogany table with vintage cane chairs and two other upholstered chairs allow you to entertain as you cook.

The house features three spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, all with showers and baths. Wall-to-wall plush carpeting, velvet curtains, and incredibly comfortable beds are found in every room. Each room also has a dressing table, chest of drawers, and additional comfy chairs.

Outside, a newly laid fire pit and BBQ area will allow you to take in the views of the rolling meadows. Be sure to say hi to the "coos" who may poke their wet noses through for look. In these vast fields, you are guaranteed to see deers, pheasants, foxes, wild birds, hedgehogs and squirrels throughout the year. In the spring, the sweet lambs follow their mothers around and you'll catch sights of their playful prancing all the time!"

Historic Edwardian castle estate in the heart of picturesque Portpatrick. 2000 acres of glen walks, forests, beaches, lochs, gardens and waterfalls to explore. The Castle Apartment is completely self-contained with its own private courtyard and entrance.

The walled garden with its glass house is a romantic and peaceful retreat on the estate. Two lochs nestle into the hills and rhododendron banks. Wander along the glen walk past a rushing waterfall, and a babbling brook, to the two beaches to spot dolphins and seals. Dunskey Golf Course and the picturesque Portpatrick Harbour is two minutes away. Fishing expeditions from the beaches or on our two lochs are available. Pheasant shooting and deer stalking are also available upon request.

Portpatrick Village has a public tennis court, putting green, golf course, beaches, and many restaurants. It is a very family-friendly destination.

Parking is available throughout the estate, including the drive down the beach. A car is highly recommended for the area.

Wellies are highly recommended for the walks around the grounds.

Located in Stranraer, this vacation home is in a rural area and on a lake. Ardwell Gardens and Mull of Galloway Trail - South are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Dunskey Garden and Gkenwhan Gardens. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
