This stunning 19th century cottage offers both coast and countryside on the doorstep with access to the public footpath taking you on scenic trails to explore. Perfectly located for trips to the beach at Pembrey Country Park and Ferryside, this property lies on the edge of the pretty town of Kidwelly. Located on a complex with one other cottage, it backs onto wonderful country footpaths so you can explore the area with ease. In the town you ll find shops and cafes, as well as a museum, a 12th century castle and Glan Yr Afon nature reserve. Visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales a 30 minute drive away. Enjoy the 2 mile Kidwelly Canal and Quay walk which is a haven for bird watchers. (Please check admittance for the various attractions). After a busy day exploring, head back to the cottage and relax in the cosy lounge/diner, which has a real country feel. Put your feet up in front of the wood burner effect electric fire the perfect spot to curl up with a book, enjoy a glass of wine, or watch the TV or a DVD. The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus a washer/dryer should you need it during your stay. The wooden staircase opens to the king size bedroom with its en suite bathroom which has a shower over the bath, WC and bidet. The bedroom has a TV and enjoys castle top views. Outside there is a shared enclosed garden which is also used by the holiday cottage attached. Here you ll find a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ great for dining alfresco on a warm summer s eve. From here you also have direct access to the public footpath. A lockable outdoor storage unit is available for you to store any bikes and/or fishing equipment you bring with you, and the property has ample parking. Within the close proximity (less than 2 miles) of 'Kidwelly Cottage' and 'Kidwelly Hillside Cottage' you will find another cottage belonging to the same owner, which is also available to book Cockle Shell Cottage is located in the heart of the village of Llansaint.
