The space
The Old Forge Pump house was originally built in 1939.
Completely renovated to a high spec modern style. The holiday accommodation is in an adjoining annexed to the owner’s home. The property sits in a two acre plot with river frontage (Gwendraeth Fach). The classy apartment has a modern feel; it sleeps 2 people comfortably. The local town of Kidwelly, with its castle, many pubs and food outlets is nearby. Brechfa Forest and the Brecon Beacons are within easy driving distance, as well as the market towns of Carmarthen, Llanelli, Pembrey Country Park, Swansea and Gower. Lovely beaches in Pembrokeshire are within a short drive, along with the bustling country town of Narberth, which has an abundance of food outlets, craft shops and places to explore. Kidwelly is ideally situated as a central point - there is always something to do whatever the weather.
Even though you will feel wonderfully secluded here, this home is also located perfectly to benefit from the small town of Kidwelly, which not only has one of the most spectacular castles in Wales but also a thriving community. The town has a Co-op, Londis, 2 primary schools, churches, community hall, post office and a small number of shops, cafes and pubs. There are also several interesting walks in and around Kidwelly. The larger towns of Carmarthen and Llanelli are both only 8 miles away, in opposite directions. Swansea city and the famous Welsh coastline are all on the doorstep and you will enjoy endless days out with friends and family creating new memories.
The spectacular magical grounds which wrap around the property is a wildlife haven thanks to the array of mature trees, plants & shrubs, spring gardens and the Gwendraeth Fach river which lines the property boundary. When arriving at this idyllic and peaceful home you get a sensation of removing a heavy overcoat and shedding the cares of the day.
This entire home is fully equipped with underfloor heating.
Kitchen/Lounge A lovely size space with dual aspect windows overlooking the well-presented garden. The area has ample room for seating. The kitchen area offers a range amenities including single a stainless-steel sink, Hotpoint oven/grill, 4-ring ceramic hob, kettle, Microwave and a toaster.
Bathroom - Fully furnished with a toilet, wash basin, fitted bath with shower unit.
Bedroom- The bedroom is a lovely sized double with dual aspect windows overlooking the garden and peaceful river. This space has the pleasure of a built-in wardrobe with fitted shelving & hanging rails.
Step Outside and you can really appreciate the superb position of this amazing family home set within approx. 1.48 acres. The panoramic views can be enjoyed from all aspects of the garden and will not fail to mesmerize you!
A marvelous bonus to this property is having its very own running river and blossoming gardens all year round, a haven for wildlife and somewhere to spend hours of your time exploring. Mature woodlands line the property creating a wonderful, private garden with multiple seating areas for unwinding.

There is free parking for one car that guests can use. Can guests please park cars by the gate on the left hand side of the drive as another rental property will be using the right side parking for 3 cars.
