This charming, secluded cottage is the perfect retreat to enjoy nature and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Troedrhiwfawr (meaning foot of the hill), enjoys stunning mountain views and is just around the corner from the Elan Valley. The property is well situated for enjoying scenic walks and visiting local attractions and is perfect for both a romantic retreat or a family holiday.
Enter into a cosy sitting room complete with a warming wood burning stove set within an exposed stone wall and stairs leading to the first floor. From this room is a useful boot room/study and the entrance to the kitchen. The spacious kitchen is modern and well-equipped with plenty of room for the dining table, and benefits from a stable door looking out onto the pretty terrace, where you can fire up the barbecue and enjoy al-fresco dining surrounded by beautiful views of the forestry. To the front of the property is another garden, perfect for enjoying the sunshine. Upstairs on the first floor, both bedrooms are well-appointed, each having their own en-suite shower room. The master bedroom enjoys dual aspect windows and pretty bedroom two boasts characterful exposed beams with twin single beds, perfect for children or adults alike.
Another benefit to a stay at Troedrhiwfawr is that, due to its beautiful and remote location, there is no WiFi, so switch off ... and relax!
Nearby is the stunning Cwm Rheidol Reservoir, a wonderful spot to enjoy a picnic. The river descends one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Wales at Pontarfynach (Devil's Bridge).
