Harbour View is a renovated apartment located in Aberaeron, Dyfed, Wales, offering stunning views of the river and Aberaeron Harbour. The apartment occupies the top two floors of a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, making it an ideal base for families wishing to explore the attractions of Cardigan Bay and West Wales. With Aberaeron’s North and South beaches just a short walk away, guests can enjoy the picturesque coastal town that boasts a charming harbour, a variety of shops, and numerous eateries.
The apartment accommodates up to six guests in three bedrooms: a king-size, a double, and a twin bedroom with trundle beds suitable for two children. However, due to layout restrictions involving multiple flights of stairs, it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or very young children. The apartment is centrally located, which means guests may experience some noise from the town center and traffic.
On the first floor, the sleeping arrangements include a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom, both equipped with TVs, along with a twin bedroom. A spacious shower room features a walk-in rainfall shower. The second floor includes a lounge with three sofas, a 50" plasma TV, and a dining room with seating for eight. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, while a Georgian-style roll-top bath is available in the bathroom. Guests have access to private off-road parking for two vehicles in a walled courtyard area.
Guests at Harbour View can take advantage of various outdoor activities, including crab fishing off the harbour wall, sea fishing, sailing, and sea kayaking in nearby New Quay, which is just a 15-minute drive away. Additionally, a dolphin-watching boat trip along the coast is highly recommended. The Welsh Coast Path and a scenic inland route to the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron mansion provide excellent opportunities for walking and cycling.
Key amenities include bed linen and towels, free WiFi, and electric heating. Guests are welcome to bring their own travel cot, and three well-behaved dogs can stay free of charge, although they are not permitted in the bedrooms or on furniture. Smoking and candles are not allowed on the premises. Notably, significant sea defense work is scheduled to take place in Aberaeron throughout 2024, which may impact the area during this time.
