Venture into the market town of Kidwelly for further amenities, including several pubs and shops, along with some fascinating attractions, such as the 12th century priory church and one of Wales’ most highly rated castles, Kidwelly Castle, recently voted as the fourth best castle in the UK, it’s a great opportunity to learn about the town’s history. Seven miles away rests Pembrey Country Park, offering 500 acres of park and woodland with plenty of outdoor activities, while a little further afield is Cefn Sidan Beach, where you can enjoy an afternoon of swimming and sunbathing. Once those are complete, other attractions in the area include National Botanic Garden of Wales and British Bird of Prey Centre, along with the vibrant harbour town of Tenby, considered one of Wales’ top seaside towns, its offers plenty for visitors.
