Beautiful Barn Conversion Near The Beach In Carmarthenshire, Ferryside

Dyfed. Sleeps up to 8

Trecor Barns is situated on the outskirts of Ferryside, a small village 5 miles south of Carmarthen. It is a beautiful and peaceful location, close to Pembrey Country Park with its facilities (dry ski slope, toboggan run, crazy golf, miniature steam train, pitch and put, bike hire and miles of white sandy beach). The barn is converted to a very high standard and has excellent facilities, including, table tennis table, 42' flat screen TV with sky hd, PlayStation 2, iPod dock. The oak frame conservatory and open plan kitchen provide huge open spaces to relax and prepare family meals. The lounge - upstairs - houses the ping pong table at one end and the TV area at the other. The bedrooms are all large, two with ensuite facilities. Trecor is an excellent base to explore west Wales, just 40 minutes from the Gower and Pembroke surfing beaches and with easy access to Pembrokeshires many holiday attractions, it provides a tranquil base within a small and friendly village.

Trecor has been created by joining two barns together, one barn houses the games room and TV room - upstairs and the kitchen, utility and cloakroom downstairs, the other houses the 4 bedrooms. The two double bedrooms are downstairs. The barns are joined by an oak frame conservatory. We have had wheelchair users at the barn and they have said it has been good as it has downstairs bedrooms, there are however 4 steps to reach the level of the bedroom barn.

The barn kitchen is well equiped with Stanley range (similar to aga, but you can set your oven temperature and turn it on and off!), large gas hob, larder style fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a level garden area for ball games. Close to the house is a 'secret' passageway leading down to a small river - young children love it. The village is a beautiful 1/2 mile walk down the lane with views across the estuary to Llansteffan Castle. The local shop provides basic essentials.

Located in Kidwelly, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the sea. Burry Port Lighthouse and Carmarthen Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Glyn Abbey Golf Club and Waterwynch Spa Retreat. Traveling with kids? Consider The Play King, or check out an event or a game at Pembrey Circuit. Discover the area's water adventures with scuba diving and windsurfing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and horse riding.
