A quiet, sleepy village located approximately 18 miles south east of York. This cottage is surrounded with an abundance of things around to make your stay jam packed and fun. With beautiful country walks along the River Derwent or day out to the medieval cobbled streets of York, where you'll find quirky shops, cafes, eateries and the Castle that the city is famous for. Near to Pocklington Canal (boat trips available at melbourne) and Elvington air museum. A firm favourite amongst even the most seasoned of travellers, it's easy to see why people flock back here year after year. The Yorkshire coast is also within easy driving distance with the seaside resort of Hornsea, less than 40 miles away. This charming cottage is approached down a quiet lane from the peaceful village, open the wooden gate and park your car. You'll pass the lovely well kept and private garden on your way to the front door. Step into the hall and hang your coat and be welcomed by fresh and neutral decor. The lounge in front has comfy sofas, ideal for relaxing after a busy day exploring, turn on the Smart TV and choose a film or documentary on Netflix. Mealtimes won't be a problem for any chef with the large fully equipped kitchen beside, with all your modern essentials from electric hob/oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Upstairs are two well appointed bedrooms with either a double or twin to choose from. Start the day with a refreshing shower in the bathroom downstairs, or soak away your sore muscles in the bath after along day walking. The garden is a pleasant and peaceful with just sounds of the countryside surrounding you. Dine al fresco on the table and chairs on warm balmy evenings. There is off road parking for up to three cars.
