Bridlington is still a very busy working harbour where you can see the fishermen come in with their daily catch. Bridlington Spa is a great entertainment venue hosting international acts throughout the year, and great pantomimes can be seen here.
Along the coast is Danesdyke Nature Reserve with some beautiful woodland walks. Further along the coast at Bempton Cliffs is the RSPB bird sanctuary, where you can view thousands of birds perched on the cliffs from viewing platforms. At certain times of the year puffins can also be spotted. The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Flamborough Head are just a short drive away, and other places to visit are some wonderful stately homes including Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and the wonderful Sewerby Hall, which are all worth a visit during your stay.
