At the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, Holly Farm Cottage provides access to numerous walks and cycle rides around the pretty Wolds villages enroute to the historic market towns of Driffield and Beverley. Walks and cycle routes around the Flamborough Heritage Headland provide breathtaking views from the 400ft high cliffs. Catch a glimpse of the famous puffins and other birds as you explore the headland, you may be lucky and see dolphins, seals and whales. Explore the coves and find the caves or even go fossil hunting at Speeton. The nearby Bempton train station facilitates travel to Filey, Hunmanby, Bridlington, Driffield, Beverley and Scarborough without the need for a car. On arrival you can unload at the front door before driving to the rear of the property to park on the two private off-road parking spaces, making loading and unloading an easy task. Entering the front door there is a central hallway leading through to the light and airy lounge, where you can look forward to putting your feet up and relaxing in front of the crackling woodburning stove before making your way through to the open-plan kitchen diner. Jump in the car and take the scenic drive to the nearby town of Bridlington where you'll find a wide variety of amenities; here you can watch the waves crash on the shore, indulge in fresh Bridlington Bay crab or lobster or pick up some ingredients from the many well-stocked stores and supermarkets to prepare a delicious meal from the comfort of your holiday home. With miles of glorious golden sand decorating the coastline, you're in the perfect place for a beach day, so be sure to pack your bucket and spade and head to one of the many beaches in the area such as Reighton Gap, Hunmanby gap, Bridlington and Fraisthorpe where you can look forward to paddling the shores, basking in the sun and sand, or building sandcastles with the little ones. Whilst you are in the area be sure to visit the nearby Sewerby Hall and Gardens. A little further along the coast is the popular seaside resort of Scarborough, where you can make a splash at the indoor waterpark, explore the ancient ruins of Scarborough Castle as it rises above the North Sea from it's position on a rocky promontory, or discover the archaeological history with a tour of Rotunda Museum.
