Overlooking the beautiful Cuckmere River and the South Downs, within a private apple orchard sits Robins Retreat. A handmade Shepherds Hut within the South Downs National Park - Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are located within a stones throw of the historic and beautiful village of Alfriston.

Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside, which has so much to offer.

We provide contact free check-in.

With self-catering facilities, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, a toaster and kettle.

Outside you can enjoy the firepit area and wood fired hot tub (please see extra's) whilst gazing up at the stars.

Wi-Fi is limited and cannot be guaranteed

The hut has a kingsize bed that can be stowed away to provide additional room including a seating area.

There is a bathroom, which has a toilet, sink and a walk-in shower.

Linen, towels and a hair dryer are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

* Wood fired hot tub £50 per night for the duration of your stay (e.g 3 night stay £150) - please note hot tub stays are a minimum of 2 nights
* Adult bike hire £15 for the day and £10 for any additional consecutive days (09:15 to 18:00)
* Fresh eggs from our chickens £2 (6 eggs) or 2 for £1, whenever available
* Firepit / BBQ hire, accessories, a sack of wood & kindling £20, why not add some of our own sausages – we have a pack at £4, or Bacon at £3, for you to enjoy on the BBQ or take home
* Additional sack of logs £8
* Pure apple juice pressed from our own orchard £3.50 per litre or 3 for £10
* Home made jam, marmalade or chutney £2.50
* Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome for an additional £5 per night (1 small/medium dog is suitable for the hut)
* Late check in/out of £15 (subject to availability)
* We offer electric car charging to our guests by invitation and charge a per kwh rate

- Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am.
- Smoking/Vaping is not allowed
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property (one space per hut/cabin)

This cabin is located in Polegate. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Arlington Reservoir and Nature Reserve and South Downs National Park, while Newhaven Museum and Glyndebourne Opera House are cultural highlights. Drusillas Park and The English Wine Centre are also worth visiting.
