Shepherd Hut & Glamping Cabin In Small Woods With Fire Pit And BBQ, Robertsbridge

East Sussex. Sleeps up to 4

Getaway venue comprising two distinct holiday accommodation lettings: an authentic shepherd hut crafted by Paulus Smith of Artisan Shepherd Huts and a loosely Americana-inspired 'shack' cabin featuring reclaimed and upcycled materials. Suitable for 2 couples or 4 close friends willing to share double beds. Sited within a fenced-in and gated wooded area inhabited by trees, birds, rabbits and squirrels; a respite from hustle-bustle and chattering tech (Wi-Fi is spotty). Both lettings have their own individual en-suite shower and toilet, kitchenette, fire bowl/pit and BBQ units. Be together in nature with exclusive use of this small woodland, or if you wish, have time out to rest separately. For full details, please read on and see images of property layout and location of hut and shack within the grounds and in relation to each other.

THE SPACE
Our small, secluded woods was probably historically a marl pit. As such, it is a dipped wooded area and is accessed via a ramped walkway. This area is gated and fenced in for added privacy. To promote a retreat-like atmosphere for all guests, non-guests are not permitted on the property.

Our property is surrounded by fields for grazing sheep or cattle, though you won’t have to look far to see ‘wild life’ as we also share our home with our dogs and a herd of rescue horses. You can enjoy views of the fields to the back of the property from our ‘tree house’ viewing platform. We do not offer equestrian or farm stay experience. We offer, by appointment only, horse guided systemic and family constellation therapy sessions. If you’re interested, please search online for ‘horse constellations shivaun.'

We are conveniently located just 10-15 minutes’ walk to Robertsbridge village, which offers shops, a café and bakery, pubs, restaurant, pharmacy, post office, vet and overground train station. We recommend driving if you wish to enjoy the various attractions of 1066 Country and High Weald AONB. E.g. Battle Abbey, Bodiam Castle, Pashley Manor Gardens, Darwell Wood, Scotney Castle and Carr Taylor Vineyard are within 15 minutes’ drive or less. While Rye, Hastings, Camber Sands beach, Chapel Down Vinery and Herstmonceux Castle are approximately 30 minutes’ drive away.

THINGS TO NOTE

Wi-Fi Connection
Wi-Fi is available on the property through external/outdoor access points. However, please note that signal is weak or spotty in the woods.

Shared Space, Mutual Consideration
We live on the property and share it with our animal friends. Please be considerate and mind appropriate noise levels and be respectful of resident wildlife. Non-guests are not allowed on the property. Outdoor entertainment (e.g. cinema/loud music) is not permitted. Please do not feed the horses or enter the stable yard or paddocks.
