East of the city centre and stretching as far as Brighton Marina, Kemptown is a mix of grand seafront crescents and elegant squares. Excellent independent shops within easy reach of the house include Kemptown Bookshop, The Butler’s Wine Cellar, Brampton’s Butcher, and The Open Bakery, as well as several coffee houses (Ground and Portland are both recommended).
