Guestling, Near Hastings, East Sussex

9

Located in Guestling, near Hastings in East Sussex, this pleasing detached property serves as an ideal base for touring the South of England. Just three miles from the coast and surrounded by attractions, the property accommodates up to nine guests and features convenient amenities such as nearby pubs and access to the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The layout includes a tiled entrance hall leading to a spacious living room with a full-size snooker table and French doors that open to a patio and garden, along with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area.

The property boasts two twin bedrooms, one of which can be converted into a double bed upon request, both featuring en-suite shower rooms equipped with toilet grab rails for added accessibility. On the first floor, a galleried landing leads to two double bedrooms, each with an additional single bed separated by drapes, and en-suite bathrooms. The barn, originally built in 1860, has been thoughtfully rebuilt after being demolished in the 1987 hurricane, preserving many original beams while providing modern comforts.

Guests can enjoy a range of amenities, including electricity, full night storage heating, bed linen, towels, a travel cot, and a high chair. Entertainment options include a TV and DVD player with a small library, stereo/CD player, and Wi-Fi. The property also features a fenced patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, as well as parking for four cars. However, it is important to note that there is an unfenced pond on the premises, and a security deposit of £150 is required.

The interior design of the barn combines contemporary aesthetics with traditional elements, featuring a stylish entrance hall with oak beam framing and a modern open-plan living area that invites relaxation. The kitchen, adorned in a sleek white finish, is well-equipped for cooking and dining, making it perfect for leisurely breakfasts or evening meals outdoors. The bedrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, offering a tranquil atmosphere ideal for restful nights.

For those willing to explore beyond the comforts of the barn, historic Hastings with its castle ruins and the picturesque coast are easily accessible. The medieval town of Rye, known for its impressive Norman church, is also nearby. With a shop located three miles away and a pub just one mile from the property, guests can enjoy both seclusion and convenience during their stay.
