Ty Cerrig Granary, Brecon

Brecon Beacons. Sleeps up to 13

Ty Cerrig Granary is great for a group of friends or a family get together and you can be assured of a very warm welcome. This great old stone barn has the most magnificent views of The Brecon Beacons - probably some of the best in the area. The house has a very large comfortable sitting room with plenty of sofas, three bedrooms on the ground floor for older members of the party or with walking difficulties and more upstairs. The Granary has been lovingly converted to a superb standard using local craftsmen and local materials. Hand-made doors from the Douglas Fir felled by The River Usk, retained stone cart arches letting in lots of light and making the best of the glorious view. Lots of parking and bring your mountain bikes or have them delivered to the door - The Taff Trail passes close to the barn. Only 2 miles of flat walking to Brecon along the Canal Tow Path. Plenty of walking for well behaved pets down by the River Usk at the end of the drive, along the canal tow path. Watch the canal boats pass through The Lock at Brynich - this is quite a spectator sport. Ty Cerrig has a purpose built range of stables for guests horses - wonderful riding country. An excellent local pub with restaurant with The Three Horse Shoes at Groesffordd. There is also The Old Ford at Llanhamlach - brilliant for Sunday lunch but make sure to book.
