There is one open plan studio room with a double bed, kitchen area, dining table and armchair. There is also a separate shower room. Outside is off road parking for one car, along with a private balcony with furniture, and shared use of a lawned garden. With both the amenities of Brecon and the countryside of the Beacons on the doorstep, Beacons Rest makes a wonderful year round retreat.

Town: The town of Brecon, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park has Georgian and Jacobean architecture, a cathedral, museums, a theatre, a cinema, shops, restaurants and pubs. The stunning Brecon Beacons National Park is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with breathtaking countryside, waterfalls and caves. Also with the National Park are market towns, castles, and monuments, plus relaxing activities, such as pony trekking, and a ride on the Brecon steam railway. Within driving distance is the town of Hay-on-Wye with its many book and antique shops, plus the towns of Abergavenny and Builth Wells are well worth exploring. Brecon is an ideal base from which to explore the area.

Tretower Court & Castle and The Old House are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Brecon Golf Club and Pen y Fan. National Showcaves Centre for Wales and Royal Welsh Showground are also worth visiting.
