The centre of Hay-on-Wye is a stone's throw from the property, where you will find a selection of shops for picking up essentials, as well as pubs, cafés and restaurants, should you not feel like cooking one night. Often referred to as 'The Town of Books', Hay-on-Wye is popular with booklovers who come to peruse its wonderful array of quaint bookshops, while several gift shops are the perfect place to pick up gifts for loved ones and antique shops may uncover a hidden gem. Explore your picturesque surroundings on foot, with many pretty walking trails through the picturesque Wye Valley, while the National Trust's Weir Garden rests along the banks of the River Wye and boasts a wonderful riverside garden and natural beauty to admire.
