Dragonfly Cottage is a beautifully located and immaculate new barn conversion near the small hamlet of Pencelli and only a couple of miles from the market town of Brecon. This holiday retreat is set in the courtyard of an 18th century farmhouse with magnificent views across The Usk Valley. The Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal with the gaily painted canal barges coming and going and is just a few steps across from the farmyard and can be hired; lovely to watch the and to enjoy the lovely river Usk and canalside walks from the cottage. Also a great place for all types of bikes.

A spacious and very attractive kitchen - all newly equipped with an electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge (access to a shared freezer), dishwasher, washing machine and dining table with chairs. A new sofa and armchair, wall mounted TV with Freeview and DVD player, a CD player and DAB radio. Woodburning stove with a supply of logs.
Two bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A double bedroom with king size bed.
Bedroom 2: A bedroom with twin beds - which can also be linked together to become a super king sized bed.
The lovely newly fitted tiled bathroom has a bath with shower above, handbasin and toilet.

Visitors staying at Dragonfly Cottage are able to book Tomos our Electric Twizzy car for a different and memorable view of The National Park (available to hire from BBCH with routemaps). This is the ideal place to start a short or long walk, along the tow path Brecon is less than 3 miles to the west passing over Brynich Aquaduct and Brynich Lock; or in the other direction Talybont-on-Usk has four thriving pub/restaurants - all providing good food, there is the village shop, canalside cafe and Post Office. Or you can choose to hike onto the Brecon Beacons and return via the village of Llanfrynach which is only a short distance along the road from the cottage. This is also ideal for mountain biking with the Taff Trail on the doorstop, to make it easier you can arrange for bikes to be delivered for your arrival. Walk along the canal to The Royal Oak in Pencelli - check opening times with owner.
