Set in the village of Llangattock, this property makes a great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. A short walk of less than 1 mile across a meadow and over an ancient stone bridge leads you to Crickhowell a lovely small town with independent shops, cafes and pubs with many more local walks to enjoy: Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal passes through Llangattock to the west, allowing level walking along the picturesque towpath, while the River Usk provides riverside strolls from Crickhowell. For a slightly more energetic trek you can join the Beacons Way or Cwm Cumbeth trail at Crickhowell, leading you up on to the flat topped Table Mountain and The Black Mountains beyond. Once part of the original village school, this delightful cottage dates back to the late 17th century. It has been given a touch of modern elegance through the use of designer wallpapers, warm wooden parquet flooring in the sitting room and chic furnishings, which sit beneath partially exposed beams.
