Table Mountain View with two bedroom and will sleep 5 guests is a cosy hideaway in the centre of the little village of Llangattock (Voted by Sunday Times March 2015 One of the Best Place to Stay in Britain). Close to Crickhowell also voted Best High Street 2018.
This delightful cottage was once part of the original village school and dates back to the late seventeenth century; recently completely updated it is contemporary and elegant with warm wooden parquet flooring in the sitting room and has been tastefully decorated using Laura Ashley wall papers and paints. Llangattock is a great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and is a short walk across the meadow and over the ancient stone bridge (less than one mile) to Crickhowell - a very lovely small town with to independent shops, excellent cafe's and award winning pubs.
There are many easy local walks, including the flat-topped Table Mountain and the River Usk less than a mile away. The Brecon and Monmouth Canal passes through the village allowing level walking along the picturesque towpath. A climb up the hill, out of the village brings you to Llangattock Escarpment, formed as a result of extensive quarrying in the 19C and home to some of the UK's largest caving systems. Slightly further afield you can picnic beside waterfalls in Talybont or visit the historic Raglan Castle or explore the Welsh Valleys and their rich industrial heritage.
