Waggoners Cottage is nestled in the county of Powys in Mid-Wales. It’s situated on the outskirts of the charming Hamlet of Garthmyl which overlooks luscious countryside, containing the working farm upon which the cottage is located. Perfect for couples and families alike, this cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to five guests and ideally sits within close proximity of the area’s most wonderful attractions. After an enticing day of exploring the gorgeous countryside and fascinating towns, take time to relax with your loved ones together in the open-plan living area, enjoying the TV or simply a chat around the charming woodburner. Additionally, this space offers a homely dining area alongside a well-equipped and traditional oak kitchen. The ground floor also plays host to a pleasant shower room and functional utility. On the first floor the three bedrooms rest: a double, a twin and a single, which are all decorated with peace and comfort in mind, allowing you to maximise your stay. All the rooms are exemplified through sharing a splendid family bathroom which completes the accommodation warmly. Undoubtedly, the cottage’s finest asset is the exquisite hot tub, which along with the luxury it brings to the property, candidly provides incredibly breathtaking views of the stunning Severn Valley, exemplifying the natural beauty of the area. The Hamlet of Garthmyl plays host to The Nags Head Hotel and Restaurant, a Golf Course and is a passing point for the Montgomery Canal (part of the Severn Way Walk), which leads to the unbelievably picturesque Black and White village of Berriew. This enchanting village is home to the Andrew Logan Museum, various pubs and restaurants; sports field and play area for the children, a handful of local shops and a tea room. Are you craving outdoor experiences? These are plentiful with easy access to cycling trails and clay pigeon shooting, even inexhaustible walking opportunities, either undulating down the canal waterways or visiting the easily reachable Shropshire Hills which, as an area of outstanding natural beauty, entertain gorgeous rural views. A well-presented cottage, encompassing all elements of an exceptional stay in Mid-Wales. Places to visit - Mid Wales Alpacas Trek & Experience. Located 15-20 minutes drive from the property.
