Barcud Coch – Red Kite is a detached, single-storey property situated in the countryside of Powys in Mid Wales on a working farm. This dog-friendly cottage features a large decked terrace, hot tub, countryside views, and is well-positioned to explore nearby attractions, including the village of Berriew and the Andrew Logan Museum. The spacious open-plan living area is the hub of the home; prepare sumptuous dishes in the well-appointed kitchen with breakfast bar, gather round the dining table for eight, lounging on the comfy sofas enjoying the view through the sliding patio doors on to the terrace with hot tub and outdoor shower. Walking through the property, you will find four well-presented bedrooms including a super-king-size and king-size, both with en-suite shower rooms, a twin room with Jack-and-Jill access into the bathroom with a feature bath tub, and a final twin room. The entrance hall is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, spend time on the terrace either in the hot tub or on the inviting outdoor sofas, appreciating views of Corndon Hill and the local wildlife including the barcud cochs (red kites) which frequently soar over the fields. You can also find a charcoal barbecue, and a handy outdoor shower. Enjoy exploring the surrounding area either on foot or bike with endless footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep including the National Cycle Route 81. Or travel into Welshpool and discover tearooms serving the local bara brith, the Powysland Museum featuring local artefacts and customs. Enjoy a train ride on the Welshpool and Llanfair light railway during the summer; there are also castles to explore with Montgomery, Powis Castle and Dolforwyn, as well as Gregynog Hall and gardens. Spend your break in an idyllic, tranquil location, and create precious memories with a stay at Barcud Coch – Red Kite.
