Situated on the grounds of the owner’s twelfth century manor house, on an equestrian farm near Cheltenham racecourse, the Old Cider House is a charming character cottage with views to the Malvern Hills. This traditional Cotswold stone property has been finished to a very good standard and offers high quality accommodation for a couple, making it a perfect romantic retreat, especially for horse lovers. Through the traditional stable door, there's a compact fully equipped kitchen that's perfect for creating delicious meals using the best of local produce and there's a useful cloakroom. The small and cosy lounge is full of beautiful original features including beams. There's comfortable seating and a table and chairs if you don't want to dine outdoors. Upstairs there's an open plan double bedroom with a wardrobe and views out over the Malvern Hills. The en-suite shower room has a WC and washbasin. The quality of the water is exceptional as it comes directly from a natural spring and is treated for impurities with UV. If you're looking for complete peace and quiet with all the beauty of the Cotswolds on the doorstep, then the Old Cider House delivers a feeling of rural tranquillity with no compromise on comfort. Outside there's a lovely flagstone patio with pot plants and views out over the owner's garden to the hills beyond. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day's sightseeing or at the Cheltenham races, or to enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birdsong. In fact, it's so peaceful it's difficult to believe the Old Cider House is so close to Cheltenham. Off road parking is also provided. The equestrian centre which specialises in Western style riding, makes this property perfect for keen equestrians, especially with the racecourse so close at hand. There are also various walks around the 150 acre farm, including part of the Cotswolds Way. A short drive takes you into the beautiful spa town of Cheltenham with its cafes, restaurants and shopping. The Cotswolds is one of the most popular regions in the country, and no wonder, with its rolling landscape of gentle green wolds, its honey coloured stone houses and picturesque villages. Its produce makes it a paradise for foodies and it's a haven for nature lovers. Whether you walk the Cotswolds Way, visit one of the UK's great castles or attend an arts festival, the Cotswolds has something for everyone. Offering charm, character and comfort, the Old Cider House is the perfect romantic rural hideaway, a base for exploring the Cotswolds and the ideal holiday home for every horse lover.
