## Neighborhood
Head north of the centre to find hip nightlife, independent traders and a bohemian vibe on Gloucester Road and Stokes Croft. Make a stroll around bohemian Stokes Croft, often referred to as Bristol's cultural quarter. Discover unusual shops, great pubs, real clubs, fabulous food and a wealth of artist studios and ever-changing exhibitions.
In fact the whole area resembles an outdoor gallery with colourful graffiti that continually transforms its walls and buildings. You might see some great artwork today – but by the time you want to show it to your friends tomorrow it has miraculously vanished or changed into a completely new picture. Keep your eyes open for some of Banksy's best known pieces, such as the famous Mild, Mild, West, which is next to The Canteen and also look out for the giant mural Breakdancing Jesus by Cosmo Sarson on the opposite wall.
Gloucester Road is credited as the longest street of independent shops in Europe.
Independent shops and businesses offer choices not found in the high street chains so check out clothing at Fox & Feather and Make; handmade jewellery at Artemis, Playfull Toyshop for the kids and Iota, Paper Plane and Room 212 for unusual handmade gifts and Bristol art - perfect souvenirs from this creative city!
## Transit
From the apartment, you will have easy access to bus routes to city centre right at your doorstep. Gloucester road is well linked by public transport. The 3A, 71, 73,75,76 all run to cabots circus. It is only a 20-minute walk to the centre with some great sights on the way!
