Let the city lights fade and let your surrounding lull you into a serene and back to nature escape. Sitting within an idyllic 36 acres of rolling farm land and private woodland. This farm is far from traditional as it sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was used by the Romans. It’s a total walker paradise too, as The Cotswold Way crosses the land.
This Cotswolds Threshing barn has been sympathetically brought back to life. Fort View is unique and withholds its original beauty, high-end luxury awaits with all the modern comforts and convenience you could desire. Climb the stone staircase to your own private entrance to be greeted with an open plan interior. A delightful fully fitted kitchen which features a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine for hot cups of frothy coffees, fridge with freezer compartment and all cooking equipment you could need for chopping and chatting whilst whipping up a delicious meal. A cosy living room provides a great spot to plan the next day’s adventures. A contemporary bathroom, which features a bath tub with overhead shower, along with extra fluffy towels and luxurious toiletries. The bedrooms are furnished with memory foam mattresses, sumptuous duvets, cloud like pillows, and crisp Egyptian cotton bedding. You will most certainly be waking up completely recharged and ready for the day’s adventures. Why not upgrade your stay and request a delicious convenience box full to the brim with local produce, delicious sausages, breads and fruit juices, certainly makes for a yummy start to your holiday. As you dine be sure to sit by the window, to watch the farms geese and ducks waddle to and throw at their meal time too, it’s been likened to scenes from Beatrix Potter.
Although a quiet location with only the noise of chicken, geese and hens, it’s close enough to visit the surrounding villages that are pretty as a postcard and lined with chocolate box houses. Should you be wanting to take advantage of the fantastic walks that surround, be sure to make a pit-stop or two and the traditional pubs along the Cotswold way, serving wonderful food and some fine ales. The young at heart have an abundance to enjoy too, with a plethora of top attraction right on your doorstep, Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson’s (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name just few are all within easy reach. Should regency chic and bohemian splendour be on your voyage of discovery, Bath and Bristol are nearby too. With nearby picturesque vistas to hike and explore by foot or on two wheels.
